A door, bonnet or boot is open. Disarm your AVS car alarm, correct the problem and start again.
Your AVS car alarm has been triggered while you were away from the vehicle. The car alarm will chirp four times the first time you disarm it after an activation.
AVS car alarms have a past alarm trigger memory which records what triggered the last 10 activations. If you need to know what has triggered the car alarm contact your AVS installer or your local AVS dealer who will be able to get this information from the car alarm’s memory.
The auto re-arm and re-lock feature has been turned on. This feature will re-arm your AVS car alarm and re-lock the doors (if central locking has been connected) if it is disarmed and no door opened within 60 seconds. It can be turned off by your AVS installer or your local AVS dealer but this a goof feature to have on in case you accidentally disarm your alarm.
Your AVS data battery back-up siren can be turned off with the siren key. The first step is to make sure the siren is turned on (especially if your car has recently been in for a service or similar). Check this by pressing the panic button (the right button on the torch remote or the horn symbol on the waterproof remote) for six seconds. If this siren is turned on it will now sound. Turn it off by pushing the button again.
If the siren does not sound turn it back on again with the key which will return the chirps to normal. See the owners manual for more details.
If the siren is on but you still do not have any arming/disarming chirps it is likely you have an earlier model alarm and they have been accidentally turned off via the programming features on your AVS car alarm. To return to normal:
You have an earler model alarm and a programming feature has been accidentally turned on. To return it to normal:
