GPS Tracking is a growth area in New Zealand whether you are wanting to add another dimension to the security system on your own personal car, or you are looking to track and manage a fleet of any size. AVS has a number of options to suit.
GPS Tracking
AVS recommend and use New Zealand designed and built Snitch GPS tracking. This real time GPS tracking system has the flexibility of two separate operating systems (Snitch and Armada) depending on your requirements. The GPS system can be integrated two work with your AVS alarm system so that you will receive a text on alarm trigger.
Armada GPS Tracking for fleet management
As a natural extension to our core car security business AVS offers GPS Tracking suitable for fleet management of any size and type. We also provide security and tracking solutions tailored to specific fleet needs such vehicle alarms, driver alarms and in-vehicle panic switches all integrated with GPS tracking. The AVS S5, S4 and S3 Star Rated alarms are available in a 24-volt version so security can be incorporated on most fleets. To date we have worked with a number of large, and small, New Zealand companies in this area.
The Armada GPS Tracking unit is the ideal fleet management tool whether your fleet is 1 or 100 vehicles. From 12 to 36-volts it can be added to almost every vehicle. Armada will give you full real time tracking with a location update every 200 metres. With a secure login via the Armada website you can view where all your vehicles are 24/7 from any internet capable computer. So whether your are at home or in the office you can access information.
And it features functionality such multiple users with their own log-in permissions, more in-depth reporting such as run/idle times and the ability to configure the maps with all vehicles and add customer addresses, no-go zones, geo-fencing and much more. And best of all, direct from the Armada website you can download up to 100 reports per month. So there is no software to set up or maintain and you're free to manage your fleet from any internet capable computer. Reports available online include:
- Stop reports: includes the time, date and address of each stop made and h
ow long the vehicle was stopped for. Great for keeping track of sales calls or deliveries. - Distance reports: includes start time, stop time, stop location and the distance travelled. Also includes total distance for selected date range. A good way to track road usage charges and driving hours.
- Ignition run time: includes the address and time ignition was turned on for. Designed to help with accurate customer billing for diggers or other machinery where billing is based on ignition on times.There are many additional features available with this option plus if you have special requirements talk to us about them, we’ll be pleased to help.
Armada GPS Tracking units are available for around $1395 per vehicle. Full real time tracking is billed at $22 (plus GST) per month per vehicle. SMS messages such as alarm activation, accident or overspeed notifications are additional.
Snitch - ideal for personal use vehicles
Snitch is perfect for personal use vehicles so you can quickly and easily know where your vehicle is. Your Snitch will give you full real time tracking with a location update every 200 metres.
With a secure login via the Snitch website you can view the vehicle's progress 24/7 from any internet capable computer. You can also text Snitch for the address of your vehicle. Snitch will text you back the actual address of your vehicle (not just the GPS co-ordinates). The Snitch GPS unit is only $995 plus installation. Ongoing user costs of $22 (plus GST) per month apply plus the cost of any SMS sent from the Snitch. And with an AVS alarm installed as well you will receive a text message if the alarm is activated. Snitch can be bought online.
