This advanced alarm system offers excellent security features as well as a built-in cellular data modem allowing two-way text message communication between you and the alarm.

Alarm features

Two automatic immobilisers

Starter motor and ignition system or fuel pump immobiliser cuts are made so the car cannot be started unless it is disarmed via the remote. The system will immobilise 38 seconds after the ignition is turned off or when the alarm is armed.

Intelligent glass break sensor

Detects the sound frequency of breaking glass. It will only trigger the alarm if the shock sensor also picks up an impact. This reduces false alarms.

Intelligent dual stage shock sensor

It gives a warning on a light impact and a full alarm on a heavy impact to the vehicle. It can distinguish between environmental shocks such as trucks or aircraft and a thief attempting to break in. It will auto adjust its sensitivity for the environment on arming.

Battery back-up siren

A self powered siren that will continue to sound if power is cut to it from the car.

Door, bonnet and boot protection

If the alarm is armed and a door, bonnet or boot is opened the alarm will sound.

Compatible with all AVS accessories and sensors including wireless sensors:

Wireless PIR – for protecting large spaces such as the inside of vans or trucks

Wireless reed switch – for protecting ute canopies

Two way communication via SMS (text message)+: 

  • If the alarm is triggered it will send a text message notification to up to 5 mobile phones including the triggered zone i.e. shock sensor trigger
  • Arm/lock and disarm/unlock via text message
  • If the alarm is triggered it can ring one nominated mobile phone after one minute (if the network is overloaded priority will be given to phone calls rather than text messages so this feature helps ensure you are notified of an alarm trigger. By cancelling the call or not answering it there is no charge)
  • Can send a status text message showing the alarm state (armed/disarmed), car battery level and cellular coverage. A great feature if you can’t remember if you have armed the system.
  • Can text to both Vodafone and Telecom phones
  • The only ongoing cost is the Vodafone network SMS standard charge for SMS sent from the unit+
  • Confirmation of all SMS commands
  • No cellular coverage siren warning when arming by remote
  • Secure operation via a PIN code
  • Panic SMS

NOTE: The AVS 9000 does not have a Star Rating. If required, use the AVS S-Series systems or AVS A4 with add on SMS module.
